Slow YOUR Roll, Turbo

Synchronicity – an explanatory principle or a “meaningful coincidences”. A term coined by Swiss Psychologist, Carl Jung

“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson, was an American lecturer, essayist, and poet, best remembered for leading the Transcendentalist movement.

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions” – Rainer Maria Rilke, was a Bohemian-Austrian poet and art critic.

CARMELLA’STEXTMESSAGE

SLOW DOWN! This is the message that God/the Universe is giving me today. The synchronicities are EVERYWHERE.

The other day I met a friend of mine to discuss the growth and ventures of theSpiriteen (which includes this blog and much more!).  Throughout the conversation, we both were checking our cell phones, which is rude.  We were checking to see who had connected to us on our phones, yet the true connection is to the person you are with at that moment.  If everyone comes into your life for a reason, which I firmly believe, then stopping and paying attention to that person in your presence is important. They are there to teach you something about yourself.  They are there to send you a message from God.

Many of us are overworked, overwhelmed, over-stressed. Multitasking has become the norm of life.  We are rushing to get a task completed and our thoughts are already onto the next task.  I know we’ve all heard this before… to slow down and enjoy the task at hand and that you’ll end up doing a better job if you do…but why is it so hard to actually practice this? Perhaps the better question is why do we allow ourselves to not slow down? What keeps us from allowing ourselves to enjoy the moment? Live with the question we are so desperately seeking to answer?

Yesterday after I left the meeting with my friend, I was elated! We had discussed so many wonderful topics and the meeting just furthered my believe that building theSpiriteen is necessary, purposeful and what I am meant to do.  The conversation I was having with myself was fast and energetic. Had I had this actual conversation with anyone else, I’m sure they would have thought I’d had 14 shots of espresso.  And I kept wanting to desperately know, where do I go from here!?! What do I do now!?! Please answer me God!!! Give me the message!!!

Well, I got it today – SLOW DOWN.  The sychronicities came from the topic of conversation on my favorite radio show, then a sign that I passed on my way to the gym, my favorite blog that I read everyday (The Daily Love), and, then, from a friend I ran into at the gym who said “I’m practicing living my life in the moment. Right now.”

When you have unanswered questions, live with them.  Make them your BFF.  They are part of the lesson. If we knew everything we wanted to know right now, we’d be pretty boring… dull… without wonderment. Of course, this doesn’t mean to go and spend the rest of the day on the couch watching TV waiting for the answer to appear. Continue to strive towards your goals/dreams, but be open and aware of the messages that come in many forms. They are found in whatever you notice in the moment: a song, a conversation with a friend, something you overhear, playing with a sibling or a pet, a dream, a physical sign on the side of the road… the delivery is endless.  Being in the present moment is being able to take advantage of the extraordinary in the ordinary. When we can all look at the moments of ordinary-ness as being present, Life truly becomes a GIFT.  It’s as if God is sitting right across from you, and, if you’re too busy checking your email or text messages, you are likely to miss the true connection of NOW.

What are some of your unanswered questions? What are some meaningful coincidences you’ve noticed today? Let me know!

Love,

Carmella

theSPIRITEEN’SMEANINGOFGOD

When I speak of God, I am speaking of a presence that is bigger than any of us. We all have our own definitions of God and there are many religions that come with their own meanings of God. I interchange God and Universe often throughout posts. The message is not of a religious tone, but more of a spiritual nature.
